The Apothecary by Essentially Simple is an Herbal Apothecary in the heart of the Adirondacks of Upstate New York, showcasing locally sourced and produced products for
hair, skin, body, and home featuring zero waste, bulk herbs, essential oils, soaps, teas, and gifts.

Essentially Simple’s mission is to empower the local community to reconnect to the Earth thru a more holistic approach to the vitality of whole-beingness.  The Apothecary is the bridge of connection between our divine mission and the people we serve with education, sustainability, stewardship and inspiration.

The Experience

A traditional brick and mortar in the heart of the Adirondacks, The Apothecary by Essentially Simple is a bustling, hyperlocal, community retail store on Main Street in Gloversville.  Reminiscent of hospitality and friendliness of an era long passed, The Apothecary is a destination experience where old world traditions are married with science-based plant foundations.  We have curated products showcasing local production and sourcing for a holistic approach to lifestyle vitality.  Shelves are stacked full with handmade organic and wildcrafted products, bulk ingredients, books, containers, herbal sundries and more; to delight the senses and provide something for everyone.  

 

Upon entering, one is greeted with a hello and the incredible aroma of whole botanicals, no synthetics here, just real plants and simple ingredients. An antique cabinet of dried herbs, a wall of organic teas and hundreds of essential oils is the heart and inspiration of the shop.  Staffed by an accomplished group of highly trained herbalists, The Apothecary’s crew is here to help and prides itself on being accessible, knowledgeable and friendly.
